All student primary authors are eligible for the Best Student Paper Award. Primary authors who graduated within the last 12 months and are no longer students are also eligible if the work being reported was conducted entirely while the primary author was a student.
Based on the comments given by the reviewers on the quality of the abstract, the final paper, and the presentation of the paper at the colloquium by the students, a Best Student Paper Award will be selected and presented during the colloquium.
Students who are primary authors on an accepted student technical paper may apply to have their student colloquium registration fee reimbursed under certain conditions.
We offer free conference registration for students who are first authors on an accepted paper. This includes the conference proceedings, access to the sessions, and the banquet. A proof of student status will be required. A student first author of an accepted paper is required to initially pay the conference registration fee in order for their paper to be included in the conference proceedings, then the registration fee will be reimbursed upon ATTENDING THE CONFERENCE by the student and PRESENTING THE PAPER.
All students planning to attend the CIGRÉ Winnipeg 2017 Colloquium must prepay the student registration fee.
For the 2017 Colloquium, the requirement on “PPT file for Colloquium Digest” has been waived.
For oral presentation at the 2017 Colloquium, a CIGRÉ standard template for PPT file (i.e. Power Point) is as shown in the hyperlink. The presenters are requested to follow the template and also include a brief CV as per slide 2 to allow the audience to get information about the presenter and maintain consistency.
